Alex Rodriguez wants nothing but the “best” for Jennifer Lopez. He recently shared his wish for his former fiancée following her wedding to Ben Affleck.

Page Six said that the 47-year-old retired athlete discussed the matter with Chris Wallace on Friday’s episode of “Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace?”

As noted, it came after the host asked him whether the “On The Floor” singer’s relationship with and marriage to Ben Affleck bothers him.

In response to Wallace’s question, A-Rod stated that his relationship with Lopez “was a good experience,” as per the publication.

He is also said to have wished the songstress “the very best,” including her children, whom he described as “smart,” “beautiful,” and “wonderful.”

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were about to tie the knot before they parted ways earlier in 2021. They had been engaged for two years after he asked for her hand in marriage in 2019.

In a joint statement to TODAY, the two celebrities announced their split, stating that they had “realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.”

Lopez and Rodriguez also noted in the statement that they would “continue to work together and support each other” on their professional ventures.

The former couple, who began dating in 2017, shared, as well, that they “wish the best for each other and one another’s children.”

At the end of their joint statement, the two personalities said that “the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support,” out of respect for their children.

Following the split with Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer Lopez rekindled her romance with Ben Affleck, with whom she was engaged during the early 2000s.

The “Argo” actor asked for the “Marry Me” actress’s hand, once again, in marriage in April 2022, which was nearly a year after they began dating.

Three months later, the two celebrities tied the knot in secret in Las Vegas and shared the details days after via the “On The JLo” newsletter.

In August 2022, Lopez and Affleck said “I dos” and exchanged vows for the second time in his Georgia estate. Us Weekly said they were surrounded by friends and loved ones during the days-long event.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the exchange with Chris Wallace, Alex Rodriguez also shared an insight into whether he sees himself as husband material or not.

Just Jared, in its recent report covering the matter, quoted the retired athlete, saying, “...in my 20s, early 30s, [I was] probably not the best. I think I’m gonna make a wonderful partner or husband and father post-suspension because of the lessons learned of my biggest mistakes.”
