Kanye West opened up about his co-parenting relationship with Kim Kardashian. He even apologized to his former partner for causing “any stress” on her part.

People said the 45-year-old artist shared his thoughts on the matter in an exclusive interview with “Good Morning America.” It comes a few weeks after his “outbursts” on Instagram, taking aim at numerous individuals and brands.

During the exchange, aired earlier on Thursday, West told Linsey Davis that he apologizes “for any stress that [he has] caused” to the “mother of [his] children.” He noted that he does, even in his “frustration because God calls [him] to be stronger.”

The “Donda” rapper continued, though, that “ain’t nobody else needs to be causing no stress either.” He, nevertheless, pointed out that he needs Kim Kardashian “to be least stressed and at best sound mind and as calm as possible to be able to raise those children.”

Kanye West shares four children with the 41-year-old reality star. They first welcomed their eldest in 2013, while their youngest in 2019, nearly two years prior to the pair’s split.

When asked whether he has a “voice” amid co-parenting with the SKIMS founder, the “Heartless” singer said he has but had to “fight for it.” He also shared that it “hurts” him when he has to “scream about what [his] kids are wearing.”

Elsewhere in the exchange, Kanye West seemingly compared his personal struggles with Kim Kardashian to the professional ones he has been having with brands, Gap and Adidas.

Entertainment Tonight, in its recent report covering parts of the interview, quoted the rapper, sharing, “It was all a disregard for something I co-created. I co-created the children. I co-created the product at Adidas. I co-created the product at Gap. There’s a parallel and the parallel does touch on discrimination.”

West also revealed his desire for his children to attend his private school, Donda Academy. But, his assertions on the matter reportedly appeared to have implied that it is something Kardashian does not want, saying, “I have to fight for [it].”

The “Ye” artist also noted that he is their children’s “dad,” adding that “it has to be co-parenting” and “it is not up to only the woman.” He continued that “men have a choice also” as “men’s voices matter.”

Following the interview, Kim Kardashian has yet to release any statement in response to her former partner’s statements. She has been relatively silent about her co-parenting relationship with West since she filed for divorce earlier in 2021.
