Meghan Markle is once again making headlines amid rumors that she could be releasing a memoir of her own following Prince Harry’s book.

During a recent interview, Markle revealed that she kept a journal while she was at Frogmore Cottage. The revelation left royal fans surprised because it once again made them see similarities between Markle and Princess Diana.

When the Princess of Wales was still alive, she also kept a diary where she recorded everything that happened to her on a daily basis. Some of the contents of her diary were later released to the public.

Now, there are claims that the same thing can happen to Markle. She may one day decide to release a copy of her journal in her memoir or she may also share her accounts in a different way.

A source told Us Weekly that anything is possible with the Duchess of Sussex.

“The fear is that it could further hurt the image of the crown. People really are swayed by personal stories, and Meghan has many months of those in the journal. Meghan wrote about specific examples of how she was kept down and not allowed to be herself. It’s always an option down the road,” the source said.

Last month, The Sun claimed that Prince Harry’s wife decided to write everything that happened to her as a senior working royal as an insurance policy that could benefit her in the end.

“Harry and Meghan were told to ignore social media and newspapers but sometimes staff would say to them, ‘so sorry about what was written the other day, and she would hit the roof. She wrote it all in her diary as an insurance policy. If it ever saw the light of day, it would surely be dynamite. By the sounds of it, this journal was rediscovered this summer, boxed up, and shipped back to Montecito,” the source said.

However, in the words of Queen Elizabeth when she was still alive, some recollections may vary. This means that regardless of what Markle wrote in her journal, her accounts are entirely her own. But this doesn’t mean that they are accurate.

After all, there are always two sides to a story. The only unfortunate thing is that the royal family will unlikely respond to her claims.
