Olivia Wilde set the record straight about her split from Jason Sudeikis and her new relationship with Harry Styles. She slammed the rumors alleging she left the father of her children for her new partner, deeming them a “complete horses**t idea.”

In an interview with Vanity Fair for a cover feature, the “Don’t Worry Darling” director opened up about her love life. It comes as the timeline of her and her former partner’s split “has become a point of public contention,” with some seemingly suggesting that the relationships overlapped.

Wilde said, “the complete horses**t idea that I left Jason [Sudeikis] for Harry [Styles] is completely inaccurate.” She revealed that the relationship with the father of her children “was over long before” she and the One Direction member met.

The “In Time” actress continued that the relationship did “not end overnight,” adding that she and Sudeikis “had a very bumpy road.” She also stated that they “officially dissolved” their romantic ties “towards the beginning of the [COVID-19] pandemic.”

Olivia Wilde further revealed that she and the “Ted Lasso” actor co-parented their children during the lockdown. She noted that it “became the responsible thing” not to cohabitate when it was “no longer beneficial” for their two kids, adding that they “could be better parents as friends who live in different houses.”

The “Lazarus Effect” actress later pointed out, though, that she does “not understand the need to create false narratives and drama” around the subject because of the children.

Elsewhere in the interview, published Thursday, Olivia Wilde talked about her relationship with Harry Styles. But, the publication said she is “careful” about what she says about the matter.

The celebrity did, however, reportedly share how her partner’s fandom has welcomed her with open arms. She asserted that the “As It Was” singer’s fans “are a beautiful and loving group of people.”

Meanwhile, on the subject of marriage, the publication said Olivia Wilde would consider marrying again. As stated, she has always taken her parents’ relationship as a “model for a healthy partnership.”

Earlier this month, a source told Us Weekly exclusively that Wilde and Styles have talked engagement. However, they are reportedly “in no rush to get engaged.”

The “Dunkirk” actor also allegedly plans to have children of his own one day. But, it was claimed that he is “not looking to ‘get married and start a family’ any time soon.”

The same insider argued, though, that the celebrity couple are instead thinking about moving in together. As alleged, “Harry and Olivia have been looking at property in London together and want to find a place of their own in [Los Angeles].”

Following the assertions, however, the “Don’t Worry Darling” stars have not addressed the report to confirm or deny the claims.
