Meghan Markle doesn’t allegedly like to live life with regrets. So, she didn’t regret her decision to share a harrowing story involving her son, Archie when he was just 4 months old.

In Archetypes, Markle revealed that her son’s nursery caught on fire while they were in Africa for a royal engagement. And she only found out about what happened after she returned home from her public appearances.

Following the incident, Markle and Prince Harry shared what happened with the royal family. And since Archie was already in harm’s way, they were asked to push through with their royal duties.

On her podcast, Markle seemingly threw shade at the royal family for forcing her to push through with her engagement even though her son was also put in danger had his quick-thinking nanny not step in.

According to Star, the Duchess of Sussex knew that she would be criticized for sharing the story. And she would also be slammed for suggesting that the royal family forced him to put her royal duties first before her son, but she couldn’t care less.

“Meghan’s happy to be free from the royal family and to have a voice again. Yes, there was a backlash, but Meghan is used to being slammed by critics and is glad she spoke out,” the source said.

Some royal fans and royal experts accused Prince Harry’s wife of always trying to play the victim. They insisted that similar incidences must have also happened to the other members of the royal family.

For instance, Queen Elizabeth was unable to attend the funeral of her dad because she was overseas for her royal engagement.

Prince William and Kate Middleton might have also experienced the same thing with their children, but they still carried on with their duties. And until today, they never made such incidents public or blamed the royal family for what happened.

Other royal fans realized that Prince Harry and Markle’s decision to quit The Firm was right because they just couldn’t follow the mantra, “never complain, never explain.”

But it’s been over two years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit their duties, but they still constantly talk about their experiences within the royal family. As such, they are accused of profiting from a time that they did not necessarily enjoy.
