Anne Heche’s loved ones said they will remember and miss her. This comes as she faces a grim prognosis following the fiery car crash she had late last week.

In an official statement shared with CNN, a rep stated, on behalf of the actress’s friends and family, that she had a “huge heart.” It also noted that she “touched everyone she met with her generous spirit.”

The message continued that the 53-year-old celebrity “saw spreading kindness and joy as her life’s work.”

In the end, it is said that Heche “will be remembered for her courageous honesty,” adding that she will be “dearly missed for her light.”

The rep said earlier in the statement that Anne Heche “remains in a coma, in critical condition.” As added, she is “not expected to survive” after suffering a “severe anoxic brain injury” due to the accident.

The publication later explained that the injury occurs when there is oxygen deprivation in the brain.

The statement continued that the “Donnie Brasco” star is “being kept on life support” to determine if any of her organs are “viable.” As noted, “it has long been her choice to donate her organs.”

Elsewhere in the message, Heche’s loved ones shared via her rep their gratitude toward people “for their kind wishes and prayers” for the celebrity's recovery. They also expressed their appreciation to the “dedicated staff and wonderful nurses that cared for Anne at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital.”

Anne Heche’s condition had not improved since the accident, which occurred on August 5.

A rep for the “Volcano” star told People on Monday that she was in “critical condition” at the hospital.

The magazine later quoted the rep’s official statement, writing, “[Heche] has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.”

It continues, “She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”

News broke earlier Thursday that the investigation into the car crash has elevated from a misdemeanor DUI to a felony.

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee confirmed the matter to CNN, noting that it came after results from a blood draw from Anne Heche “showed signs of impairment.”

Additionally, the same Officer stated that the woman inside the property where the actress’s car crashed “suffered minor injuries” and sought medical attention.

Meanwhile, Officer Annie Hernandez elaborated on the matter, specifically on the blood test results. She told the publication that they “showed a presence of narcotics,” although additional testing and further investigation are necessary “to rule out any substances that were administered in the hospital.”
