Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may allegedly fly to the United Kingdom this summer. But, recent reports suggest that this may not be the case at all.

Speaking to the “Daily Star” last week, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield reportedly claimed that the former working royals may accept Queen Elizabeth II’s alleged invitation to Balmoral for a summer break. She is said to have asserted that they may do so “to stay in the spotlight.”

In covering the latest on the narrative, Express UK quoted the expert, saying, “No one else really has any interest in having the [Duke and Duchess of Sussex] around.” It continues, “...So, yes, they must jump at any opportunity they have to still appear to be in the fold.”

The royal commentator’s statements came after allegations emerged that Queen Elizabeth II had extended an olive branch to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. As claimed, she invited the pair and their children to Balmoral this summer.

Speaking to The Sun, the Balmoral insider stated that “staff have been told to expect the full list of royals,” including the former working royals and their two young children. It was also added that the household was “preparing for the Sussexes.”

The outlet later quoted another source, suggesting, “Balmoral is the perfect place for them to spend a little bit of quality time with the Queen.” It continues, “They barely had 15 minutes with her at the Jubilee” earlier in June.

Following the claims, though, no proof or evidence emerged confirming the reports. The British Royal Family, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle, also seemingly maintained their silence regarding the matter.

This consequently made the assertions a mere rumor and speculation.

But, despite the lack of proof and confirmation, Page Six set the record straight, noting that multiple sources made confirmations about the claims.

Reportedly, the Balmoral summer guest list of the Queen does not include Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The publication then clarified that “there was no such invite” after recalling the reports about the British Monarch supposedly asking the former working royals to join her on her annual summer break in the highlands.

It was also pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “will not be going to visit” the former’s grandmother. It later added that the pair will stay in the United States as they gear up ahead of the publication of the royal-born Prince’s memoir.
