Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly experienced a sense of normalcy in their childhood because of Princess Diana. Now that they are raising their own children, it is said that they are taking inspiration from how the late royal did it with them.

In an exclusive piece for the latest issue of Hello! magazine, the Princess of Wales’s former royal protection officer, Ken Wharfe, reveals how the two royal siblings look to their childhood memories as an inspiration for raising their young children.

He claims that the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex remember things from their younger years “with great fondness,” adding that they “appear to be drawing on the experiences Diana gave them to shape the upbringing of their own children.”

The former bodyguard of Princess Diana consequently cites how the three young Cambridge Royals are “being educated in the same way” as Prince William. Also, he notes that the children, with whom the royal-born Prince shares with Kate Middleton, were seen “enjoying the music at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert” earlier in June.

Wharfe continues that the Cambridges “enjoy bucket-and-spade family fun on the beaches in Norfolk,” as well.

As for Prince Harry, the former royal protection officer recalls how he and Meghan Markle have been spotted taking their eldest child, alongside their family dog, for walks on the beach.

Ken Wharfe’s assertions come as he looks back on the “idyllic upbringing” Princess Diana gave Prince William and Prince Harry. He also unearths how the late royal “tried to instill a sense of normalcy” in her two children.

The former bodyguard, who worked with the Princess of Wales from 1988 to 1993, points out that she was a “hands-on” mother with her two sons. He adds that she was always with them in their “nursery or bringing them down to the kitchen for breakfast.”

One of the recollections Wharfe made in his piece includes how the late royal would reportedly allow the Dukes of Cambridge and Sussex to have their friends for sleepovers and let them bring their pals on holidays.

Earlier this week, the same former royal protection officer claimed that Prince William “has been infusing his approach to royal life with a more personal touch similar to Princess Diana’s,” according to Express UK.

In making his point, Ken Wharfe referenced the future King’s previous gesture of hugging the members of Lionesses when he presented them with their winning trophies.

The former royal bodyguard told “Sky News” that the public saw the Duke of Cambridge “completely in the role of his mother.” He added, “This was exactly what Diana was like.”
