There is no longer hope for reconciliation between Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay.

Page Six reported that the 36-year-old model has recently filed for divorce from the 42-year-old artist. In the documents obtained Thursday, the former alleges that her estranged husband fathered a child with his “paramour,” adding that the marriage is “irretrievably broken.”

The estranged couple share three children in their on-and-off relationship.

The publication noted that Renay requested primary physical custody of the kids, alongside joint legal custody. She also reportedly listed the date of separation as July 22 and filed the documents on Monday.

Official statements and comments from the two camps have yet to emerge.

On July 30, a day prior to the divorce filing, Crystal Renay accused Ne-Yo of cheating in a lengthy Instagram post, wherein she called their relationship “eight years of lies and deception.”

People noted that the post has since been taken down, along with the celebrity’s official account. But, it quoted her, writing, “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected… every last one of them.”

It continues, “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is [an] understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane.”

The artist’s estranged wife also reportedly deemed it “the mentality of a narcissist.”

Elsewhere in the post, Crystal Renay is said to assert that she would “no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t.” As added, she claimed she “gained three beautiful children” out of the relationship “but nothing else but wasted years and heartache.”

In response to the lengthy Instagram post, Ne-Yo released a statement on his official Twitter account the following day.

He said, “For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums.”

The tweet continues, “I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”

Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay renewed their vows earlier in April. They held an “elaborate” event for the ceremony in Las Vegas, according to Us Weekly.

It came about more than a year after the two personalities reunited and welcomed their third child. They first separated in February 2020, with the “Because Of You” singer filing for divorce in March of the same year.

He, however, withdrew the paperwork a month later.

Renay and the singer, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, first tied the knot in February 2016, a month before they welcomed their first son.
