Lisa Kudrow’s son shocked her with his reaction to “Friends” after watching it for the first time. It even caused her to want to tell expletive words to him, “like, f*** you.”

In a recent episode of “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” the 58-year-old celebrity discussed a few things about her new and old projects, including “Friends.” She then told the host that her 24-year-old son finally got around to watching the first few episodes of her iconic sitcom, noting it was when he got “stuck” with COVID-19.

Kudrow recalled the “thrilling” moment when her son called her to tell her he had finished the first two episodes. She even shared that she “almost started crying” in the middle of their conversation because she “did not think that anyone in [her] family liked that show.”

People later quoted Lisa Kudrow talking about the exchange, saying, “He said, ‘It’s actually really funny… I mean the guys are so funny.’”

The actress paused after sharing the moment to “jokingly frown” at her son’s sentiments. She then told Meyers that her only child consequently backed his comments up, saying, “He’s like, ‘No, I mean you’re funny too.’”

Following the statements, Kudrow poked fun at the moment and said, “Never in my life have I wanted to tell my own kid, like, ‘F*** you!” before pointing out that she did not say it despite thinking about it.

The “Space Force” actress, in the end, explained that “it is not required that you are a fan.” She argued, though, that “you do not have to like what I do, but, don’t be so demeaning.”

Lisa Kudrow shares her only son with husband Michel Stern. When she was pregnant with him in the late ‘90s, “Friends” was running its fourth season, where her pregnancy became a core plot.

Metro UK previously noted that show writers had the actress’s character, Phoebe Buffay, become pregnant with triplets, allowing her to show off her real baby bump on screen.

In the sitcom’s plot, she was a surrogate for her half-brother Frank and his wife Alice as they could not conceive a child after marriage. They asked Phoebe for help, specifically to become their surrogate mother through IVF.

Kudrow gave birth to her real-life son with Stern in 1998. In the course of “Friends,” Phoebe gave birth to triplets in the early episodes of the fifth season.

Michel Stern and Lisa Kudrow tied the knot in 1995, a year after “Friends” premiered its pilot on small screens. Closer Weekly said they first met in the ‘80s, although their relationship did not begin until they crossed paths again six years later.
