Prince Harry received praises and compliments from netizens after giving his speech at the United Nations. Some even deemed him “shining” because of his “great” address, which had ties to the memories of Princess Diana and Meghan Markle, according to Express UK.

One fan said the Duke of Sussex gave a “sincere and heartfelt” address. Another seemingly echoed the sentiments, saying, “His speech at the U.N. is uplifting, warm, and filled with optimism.”

A different netizen consequently stated that the Princess of Wales' son is “shining” after making the keynote address. One commentator also added that the late royal “must be so proud” of her youngest child.

Other individuals, meanwhile, appeared to have applauded Prince Harry for what they believe to be his “growth.”

A netizen said the public is now “seeing the rise of [the royal-born Prince] in real time.”

Another royal watcher then asserted that the Duke of Sussex “has come a long way.”

A different commentator also later added that the speech the royal provided at the United Nations “is a testament to that growth,” with others claiming, “He encapsulated Mandela’s legacy so aptly.”

Express UK said Prince Harry utilized his keynote address to recount and share his love for places in Africa. As noted, these locations have links to both Princess Diana and Meghan Markle.

The publication recalled that the royal-born Prince first visited the continent following the passing of the Princess of Wales. A few decades later, he returned with the Duchess of Sussex, adding that the trip to Botswana was one of their earlier dates.

In his speech, the Duke of Sussex stated that Africa “has been [his] lifeline, a place where [he has] found peace and healing time and time again.”

He also pointed out that he “sought solace” in the continent after his mother’s passing, and it is the same place where he realized he had “found a soulmate” in his wife.

Elsewhere in the special address, Prince Harry recalled a photo of Princess Diana and Nelson Mandela. People said the picture was taken in 1997 and quoted the royal-born Prince, saying, “[it is] on my wall and in my heart every day.”

The Duke of Sussex continued that the “joy on [his] mother’s face” is what jumped out when he first looked at the photo. He noted that there is the “playfulness, cheekiness, even,” adding that there is also the “pure delight to be in communion with another soul so committed to serving humanity.”
