Alex Rodriguez recently opened up about his relationship with Jennifer Lopez. Aside from giving her praises, and calling her the “most talented” person, he also had nothing but good words about their four-year romance.

Speaking to a recent episode of Martha Steward’s eponymous podcast, the former MLB star revealed that he had a “great time” during their relationship. He later added, “more importantly,” they always put their kids “front and center in everything we do.”

Today noted that Rodriguez has two children with his former wife, Cynthia Scurtis. As for Lopez, she shares her twins with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

Elsewhere in the engagement, Alex Rodriguez sang praises for the “Marry Me” actress. He even told Martha Stewart that he was telling these things to some of his colleagues the other day.

The publication quoted him, as saying, “[Jennifer Lopez] is the most talented human being I’ve ever been around.” He continues, “[she is the] hardest worker,” adding that his former partner “is the greatest performer, live performer in the world today that’s alive.”

The professional athlete's assertions come more than a year after he and Lopez announced their split.

The former pair said they were “better as friends and look forward to remaining so” via a joint statement.

Rodriguez and the “On The Floor” singer also stated they would “continue to work together and support each other” on their businesses and projects. In the end, they added that they “wish the best for each other and one another’s children.”

Rumors of a split between Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez first emerged about a month prior to their official announcement. Page Six exclusively learned at the time that they had broken up, although no confirmations surfaced following the report.

It came after the then-pair twice postponed their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the pair, especially the former MLB player was also linked to a reality star earlier that year.

Lopez and Rodriguez started dating earlier in 2017, according to Us Weekly. It was said to be more than a decade after their first meeting at a Yankee game.

In the months that followed, the then-couple did not shy away from expressing their thoughts and sentiments about each other on multiple occasions. This dynamic continued throughout their relationship.

Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez also faced numerous engagement speculations in their relationship. But, it was only in March 2019 that he proposed to the songstress.
