Pippa Middleton and James Matthews just welcomed their third child – a baby girl – this week.

Following the birth of their daughter, parenting expert Gifty Enright warned Pippa about her third child potentially feeling left out.

She told Express that a family of four seems to be even because there are two parents and two kids. But when there’s an additional kid or a fifth member of the family, there’s always a risk that one of the children would be left out.

“Then there is the parenting style required to parent three children. While it is possible for parents to believe they can split their time evenly between two kids, when there is a third involved, there is always the possibility of one feeling left out. It is easy for the first child to retain that special feeling of everything they do being novel for their parents, then the second child comes along and everything in terms of the workload for parents practically doubles,” she said.

But even if this is the case, Enright is confident that Pippa and Matthews would be able to figure out the best way to parent all three kids. She said that doing so would be much easier for them compared to Kate, who also has three children.

After all, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are growing up in the public eye so there’s more pressure on their part and on Kate and Prince William’s shoulders.

On the other hand, Pippa and her husband’s three kids are private citizens. And it’s also very rare for them to be photographed outdoors.

Body language expert Judi James also weighed in on Pippa and Kate’s parenting styles and said that their techniques will always be different.

She said that Pippa always seems cool and relaxed even while she’s dealing with two kids. This shows that this is her own personal balancing act.

“Although Kate, as future Queen and mother of a future King, is the consummate pro in terms of presenting the pitch-perfect, immaculate royal family moments, it’s easy to have a sneaky suspicion that she might actually envy Pippa for her ability to stride out in comfort wearing trainers, macs, and shades," she said.

As of writing, it’s unclear if Kate and Prince William already met their niece.
