Britney Spears allegedly wants to have full custody of her sons, Sean and Jayden.

In its July 4 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Spears believes she’s in a much better headspace right now to take care of her children.

Years ago, she wasn’t allowed to have full custody of her kids because she was under a conservatorship. At the time, Spears’ dad, Jamie made it seem as though his daughter wasn’t mentally fit to take care of her children.

But now that Spears has been freed from her father’s lair, she allegedly wants to head to court and seek the judge’s approval of having full custody of her children.

“Despite the wedding drama, Britney believes she’s proven she’s ready to provide a stable environment for the kids. She wants more time with them and is ready to fight for it,” the source said.

The source claimed that Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline is sweating in his pants at the thought of the singer fighting for their children’s full custody. After all, Federline has been taking care of the kids since 2008 after Spears had a very public meltdown.

At the time, the “Toxic” singer made headlines after she shaved her head. She also attacked a photographer that was stalking her.

“Kevin knows he’s dealing with a whole new Britney. He also knows a new custody split not only means he’d get less time with the boys, but also a chunk taken out of his $20,000 a month child support payments,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, there’s no proof that Spears wants to fight for full custody of her children. In fact, the sudden change wouldn’t make sense for Sean and Jayden because they are 16 and 15 years old. This means that in two to three years, they will become adults and will be allowed to spend as much time with both parents as they might want to.

It's not also true that Federline is worried about Spears winning their custody battle because of her connections. After all, the judge would most likely take into account all the years that he took good care of his sons and wouldn’t just remove the responsibility from him.

Additionally, there’s no proof that Spears’ ex-husband is worried about getting lesser child support payments.
