The highly-publicized legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard concluded earlier this month. The actor, who filed the defamation suit against his former wife, reportedly believes that the “verdict was fair.”

Geo News reported that an unnamed source recently made the statements to People. As claimed, the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star deems the verdict, thus his victory, “fair.”

The same insider also noted that Depp “very much hopes” to revive his career in the world of acting. It is said to be “his everything over the years,” adding that “he loves music, but acting is his life.”

The publication also recalled an earlier statement made to the same magazine by a different source. It came after the verdict of the trial emerged, with Johnny Depp winning the case against Amber Heard.

As reported, the 58-year-old celebrity is focusing “on himself” following his victory. It was also stated that he is “absolutely looking ahead and past this.”

Depp is reportedly “looking for positivity, and to move away from negativity.” Nevertheless, he was said to be “happy” and “relieved” after the verdict of the trial.

In the end, though, the informant claimed that the “Fantastic Beasts” alum is “figuring out” what he would do next in terms of his career.

Johnny Depp did not make any confirmation whether the assertions are legitimate. But, he did share a lengthy statement minutes after the verdict of the trial went public.

Via the actor’s spokesperson, he revealed that he is “truly humbled,” after noting that the “jury gave [him his] life back.” He also pointed out that the goal of the case was “to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome.”

Elsewhere in the statement, the “Donnie Brasco” star shared that he is and has been “overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and colossal support” from across the globe. He, later on, acknowledged and expressed gratitude to the Judge, jurors, court staff, and his legal team.

In the end, Johnny Depp asserted that “the best is yet to come,” adding that “a new chapter has finally begun.”

Meanwhile, there have been reports about the actor’s potential return to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, allegedly reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, since the verdict. This comes after a former executive told People that the material is “primed for rebooting with [him] as Capt. Jack back on board,” according to The International News.

It was also added that “there is just too much potential box-office treasure for a beloved character deeply embedded in the Disney culture.”
