Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have allegedly agreed to open their Montecito home for Netflix.

In its June 13 issue, National Enquirer claimed that the couple will be starring in a Kardashians-inspired show for the hit streaming platform.

A source claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are worried about losing their $100 million deal with Netflix following the cancelation of Pearl. So, even if they vowed not to appear in a reality TV show, they had no other choice but to change their mind.

“They thought they had it made when they signed with Netflix two years ago but they’ve produced nothing and now the pressure’s on. They can call the TV show a docuseries but they’re shamelessly turning themselves into tacky Kardashian spinoffs,” the source said.

The source said that Prince Harry and Markle are under alarming financial pressure because they have such a lavish lifestyle. And the couple has no plans to change the way they live anytime soon.

“They got a decent advance from Netflix but it comes with a long list of conditions. Then there’s the elephant in the room – can the company dish out all the money given its precarious situation?” the source said.

Prince Harry has also been doing his part to make his wife happy. The insider claimed that he was already thinking of ways how he could earn more from the release of his memoir.

“He was planning speeches and money-spinning appearances but he can’t schedule anything until there’s a definite release date. He might even have to return his advance. The bottom line is Meghan and Harry aren’t cashing in like they thought they would – not even close. Meghan and Harry have a massive overhead. When they’re desperate, who knows what they’ll say or do next?” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

Prince Harry and Markle won’t star in a docuseries or a reality TV show for Netflix.

The couple could be thinking of ways how they can create new content for Netflix, but they made it clear that this wouldn’t be through a reality TV show.

And since no such project is in the works, the tabloid was also wrong to say that Prince Harry and Markle are trying to mimic The Kardashians.
