The legal battles between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp continue.

On Wednesday, the latter’s former partner, Kate Moss, seemingly surprised the public when she appeared at the pair's ongoing trial to testify. Via live video from Gloucestershire, England, she recalled the incident from their Jamaica trip and clarified the claims Amber Heard made.

The 48-year-old British model noted that while on vacation in the Caribbean island nation, she once slipped and slid down the stairs. But, she pointed out that Depp came to her aid, adding that her then-partner “never pushed [her]," according to Mail Online.

Kate Moss shared that she and Johnny Depp were leaving the room at the time, although the actor was the first one to do so. She stated that “there had been a rainstorm,” and as she left the room, she “slid down the stairs,” adding that she hurt her back.

The model continued that she “screamed” after the slip because she did know what had happened and she was in pain.

Moss consequently said Depp “came running back to help” her. She testified that the actor “carried [her] to [the] room and got [her] medical attention.”

In the end, the British celebrity confirmed and testified that her former boyfriend "never pushed" her, "kicked" her, or "threw" her down any stairs.

Reports said that Kate Moss’s testimony as a witness for Johnny Depp is part of the “rebuttal” stage of the trial with Amber Heard. As explained, it is where the actor gets to challenge his former wife’s allegations.

The “Aquaman” actress is also said to be the one who opened the door for the British model to testify. This comes after she briefly mentioned Depp’s ex-girlfriend’s name during her testimony.

The New York Post stated that Amber Heard alleged Depp once pushed Moss down the stairs during their relationship back in the ‘90s. She mentioned the model’s name once while describing the incident wherein she said she punched the actor for the first time.

Johnny Depp and Kate Moss were in a relationship for about four years. Us Weekly said that the two celebrities began their romantic tie after allegedly being introduced at Cafe Tabac in New York in 1994.

Some publications refer to the former celebrity duo as the “it couple” of the ‘90s. But, the relationship ended later in 1998, with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star claiming the responsibility for the breakup.

He shared in an interview that he was “the one who has to take responsibility for what happened.” He admitted that he was “difficult to get on with.”
