Pope Francis allegedly needs a miracle so that he would be able to walk again.

In its May 30 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Pope Francis is at risk of being crippled.

During a recent appearance, the pope told his supporters that his knees are not yet done healing themselves. And he also added that he wouldn’t be able to stand for quite some time.

But according to a so-called doctor from New York, Pope Francis may be dealing with something more serious than what he’s been telling the public.

“This is osteoarthritis in the knee. It’s a degenerative condition where the cartilage lining the joint wears away and becomes deformed,” he said.

Dr. Fischer also claimed that the medicines that Pope Francis are taking could have some serious side effects like ulcer, hypertension, and more.

“If it has deteriorated too far, it can require the complete reconstruction of the architecture of the knee. While surgery may help, he may never regain the ability to walk normally again,” the doctor said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

It is important to note that the so-called doctor has never treated Pope Francis. So, there’s no way for him to know what’s really wrong with him.

Additionally, the pope already made it clear that he’s doing well and that he needs some time to fully recover. So, there’s no reason for the tabloid to speculate on his health.

In fact, even while he’s wheelchair-bound, Pope Francis still continues to make public appearances.

This week, he launched Scholas International, which is a movement that provides children with quality education.

During this week’s launch, singer Bono Vox showed his support for Pope Francis’ latest efforts to help young children.

“Girls’ education is a superpower to fight extreme poverty, and I would like to ask Your Holiness if you think that women and girls have the same important role to change the world and climate change,” he said (via Vatican News).

According to Pope Francis, poetry, struggle, and risk are the three most important components of having a real force.

“It is learned through contemplating nature, and through struggle. To defend nature is to defend the poetry of creation. Women know more about harmony than we men do. And Scholas, organized in this way, with this fraternity between you, has the capacity to create poetry and to bring about change,” he said.
