Jada Pinkett-Smith isn’t allegedly on Will Smith’s side following the latter’s controversial Oscars appearance.

In its May 2 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Pinkett-Smith doesn’t also want to be associated with Smith even though she’s married to the actor. This is why she continues to attend awards shows even without Smith in tow.

The Gotham star allegedly knows that siding with Smith means that she would also be frozen out of Hollywood. And this is the last thing that she wants. So, she wants her Aladdin actor to endure being banned from the Academy for 10 years.

“Ban or no ban, Jada is adamant she won’t change her lifestyle for anyone, not even Will. She fully intends to attend more of these events and rub shoulders with anyone she chooses, especially guys she finds interesting. She loves to boost her ego by flirting. She has a lot of cute male friends in L.A. who pop over for coffee. Will doesn’t object out loud, but it’s common knowledge he finds it inappropriate,” the source said.

The insider said that Pinkett-Smith wants to keep pushing her husband’s buttons. And she knows that flirting with other guys is the best way to do it.

“Jada insists she doesn’t sleep with these men, but it’s still humiliating for Will to hear her gushing about how dreamy certain guys are. Will’s friends are convinced this is a big source of his rage, along with their tame love life, which has been stale for many years,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

There’s no proof that Pinkett-Smith has been flirting with guys to upset her husband even more.

But it is true that the actress didn’t seem to side with Smith following the Oscars backlash.

During an episode of Red Table Talk, the actress also weighed in on the issue by saying that her entire family is going through healing.

“Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on deep healing. Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared at the table when the time calls. Until then…The Table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring, and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest. Thanks for joining us,” her message read.
