Jimmy Kimmel said that Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got “fake married” in Las Vegas. But, the reality star noted otherwise in a recent engagement with the talk show host.

OK! magazine released a report on the matter, detailing the exchange between Kardashian and Kimmel. This came after some members of the Kardashian-Jenner household sat down for an interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday.

The celebrity host began by saying that the Poosh founder is the “Kardashian of the week” after getting “fake married,” adding that the public did not know, though, that it was “fake.”

The mom of three quickly responded and countered Jimmy Kimmel’s statements. She clarified that it is “not called ‘fake married’” because they, indeed, tied the knot.

Kourtney Kardashian went on to explain that she and Travis Barker were not able to get a marriage license “at that hour,” being their wedding took place at 2 in the morning. She shared that they tried their best to get a license, but “it opens at 8 o’clock.”

Despite having no license to make the ceremony legitimate, they went on with the ceremony “anyway.” She added that it was because “it’s what’s in the heart.”

Kimmel, later on, gave her a wedding present. He opened the gift box, which contains a set of china that have prints of Kardashian and Barker’s iconic photos.

The interview comes days after the celebrity couple made the headlines due to their surprise Las Vegas wedding. Reports learned that the engaged pair had private ceremony hours after attending the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

People said that the nuptials took place at 1:45 in the morning on Monday. Also, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker wore the same clothes they donned to the Grammys.

The chapel owner, Marty Frierson, told the same publication that the two celebrities “paid” and “requested Elvis Presley,” adding that it was “mandatory.” He recalled, as well, not knowing who they were “until they pulled up” at the One Love Wedding Chapel.

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian remained silent for days even after the news broke. They, then, posted photos from their intimate wedding ceremony on their respective social media accounts, confirming that it did happen without a marriage license.

An interview with Billboard, later on, emerged featuring the Blink-182 drummer. He told the publication that he and the reality star are “very similar, with [their] backs to the wall,” adding that they have “no quit,” and he needs “someone like that” in his life.
