Some military mates of Prince William reportedly decided to prank him days ahead of his wedding to Kate Middleton. It even involved spending “considerable effort” and a few pounds to succeed.

Express UK said that one of the royal-born Prince’s colleagues made the revelations to Hello! magazine

Speaking to the publication, the unnamed work pal shared that they went out and purchased several items of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s memorabilia. As noted, the items were produced in the run-up to the royal pair’s wedding.

Upon purchasing the items, they reportedly “strategically secreted” the items around their training unit for the royal to find. So, this would allow him to “find his own face on a cushion” or even “see it on a cup” when he takes a cup of tea.

Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in April 2011, nearly a decade after they began dating. At the time, the royal-born Prince was based at RAF Valley in Anglesey.

Reports said that he served the United Kingdom in the Royal Airforce from 2009 to 2017. He started as a Flight Lieutenant before becoming a helicopter pilot.

It is unknown how the Duke of Cambridge responded to the prank ahead of his wedding day. But, reports assumed that he enjoyed it as he seemingly loved pulling jokes, as well, even toward Queen Elizabeth II.

Museum Facts previously claimed that Prince William and Prince Harry once pranked the British Monarch when they were younger. It was after their regal grandmother asked to help her with her answering machine, adding that the “technology baffled her.”

As reported, the two royal-born Princes changed the official response in the machine, saying, “Hey Wassup, this is Liz.” It, then, allegedly followed by a “Sorry, I am away from the throne.”

The two Wales princes were said to have even included a transfer of call message. “For a hotline to Philip, press one. For Charles, press two. For the Corgis, press three.”

The publication, later on, noted that Queen Elizabeth II found it hilarious. She, also, reportedly thought it was funny, especially after thinking about the VIPs who would have heard the message.

Another time when Prince William reportedly pulled a prank on his family members was during his younger years. Marie Claire said that a retired royal chef recalled the event and shared it with OK! magazine

As claimed, the Duke of Cambridge poked fun at his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, one Easter. With the Hickory Dickory Dock nursery rhyme-themed egg the chef had made, which came with a mouse design, the royal-born Prince was stated to have bitten the head off of it, frightening the two royal-born Princesses.
