Things may become awkward between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton when they reunite. This comes as the latter will reportedly “not forget” how her sister-in-law treated her in the past.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Mirror that, despite this, though, the Duchess of Cambridge will be “cordial” with the Duchess of Sussex. She has to because it is “part of her job," according to Express UK.

The public will, also, allegedly see the future Queen Consort “kissing or hugging” the former working royal. She is said to have known that “there is no point in prolonging” the feud, considering there is an opportunity for her to repair it.

The publication, then, noted that Seward’s assertions take its base on the bombshell interview Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did with Oprah Winfrey. It was where the former actress revealed that Kate Middleton made her cry.

As per Mail Online, the Duchess of Cambridge found the Duchess of Sussex's claims “mortifying.” It left her “saddened, disappointed, and hurt.”

Katie Nicholl previously explained that the future Queen Consort never wanted “any suggestion of a rift with [her sister-in-law] to come out in the press.” Hence, things became “very hard” when the story began to circulate, with the latter even sharing it in her interview.

The expert continued that there are “different versions” of the bridesmaid story, adding that it was “not just the one Meghan discussed.”

She, also, pointed out that Kate Middleton felt it was all already sorted out, “so to have it brought up again was mortifying.” Moreover, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly knew that their sister-in-law was “not in a position to respond.”

Cheat Sheet recently released a similar report, with a recollection of what happened in the last meeting between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. As stated, the “tension” was apparent, and royal fans could see it.

The two Duchesses last saw each other at Westminster Abbey in March of 2020 for Commonwealth Day. At the time, prior to the commencement of the ceremony, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared brief pleasantries with Prince William.

The former actress consequently waved toward the Duchess of Cambridge. However, the latter did not respond, not even eye contact, causing many to reportedly conclude that she was not thrilled to see her sister-in-law.

Meanwhile, it remains unclear, though, whether Meghan Markle will fly back to the United Kingdom in the next few months. Speculations have remained apparent but, she, alongside her husband, has yet to make any comment.
