There are only a few remaining episodes of Outlander season 5, and author Diana Gabaldon discussed what viewers can expect on these episodes. She also shared some of her favorite episodes this season, although she did note that all episodes of the current installment were great.

In a previous post via Twitter, one fan asked Gabaldon which episodes are good in her opinion. The author replied that none of the episodes of Outlander season 5 were bad. But then, she shared which episodes are her favorites this season, saying: "I loved 501, though, and Really Like 507, 509, 510, 511 and 512."

It seems like viewers can expect a lot of happenings in the mentioned episodes. It can also be noted that Gabaldon penned episode 11, hence there could be some twists and turns here. Additionally, she also answered another question about lead stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe being more involved in the second half of the season.

Gabaldon answered "yes," confirming Heughan and Balfe will have more influence in the second part of Outlander season 5. Although the two had major roles in the first half, it looks like they're going to have bigger moments moving forward. Heughan also retweeted this message, which further suggests he'll have a significant role in the second half than in the first one.

A lot of things already happened in Outlander season 5 that prompted several discussions, including the one that happened in the previous episode: Jamie and Claire Fraser in the stables. Reports claim the scene came under fire from Gabaldon. She reportedly described the scene having a bad direction, bad dialogue, bad lighting, as well as an awkward set.

Some are also claiming the author didn't like the episode at all, but CarterMatt noted that's not really the case. The stable scene may not be perfect, but it still delivers a magnificent moment. In addition, Gabaldon already made it clear she loves all the episodes of the current installment and there's no reason to dislike a particular one.

In another report, Heughan revealed that he would like to keep the series going. In a recent Twitter Q&A session, a fan asked the actor what he feels about the series coming to an end. Heughan answered he's hoping to continue the series for years. He then teased that there have been discussions about it, and he's hoping fans would keep on watching the series in the future.

Outlander season 5 drops its new episodes every Sunday night on Starz.
