Johnny Depp has spent most of his time recently in Spain, Russia, and Serbia. He, also, received an award and recognition from the Serbian President earlier this month.

Following the latest events in the actor's life, National Enquirer speculated that he "may be fleeing to Europe." In its March 7 issue, the outlet explained the possible reasons behind the matter, with sources saying that Depp has "always loved" the continent.

The "Fantastic Beast" alum reportedly has a "deep appreciation" for Europe's culture. On top of it all, he talked about having "new beginnings" at the ceremony in Serbia, wherein he obtained a gold medal.

The same outlet continued that Johnny Depp remains a "moving target" as his legal battles develop further. He is "plagued by fallout" from his divorce to Amber Heard, alongside the defamation lawsuit with the actress.

With these things at hand, it is not far-fetched to speculate that the veteran actor desires a new life outside the United States. The assumptions have even strengthened their stance when he told in his acceptance speech that he would love for his desired beginning "to start here."

But, despite all the claims and speculations, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star maintains his silence about his potential next moves in the coming months and years. So, there is no assurance whether he is already set to relocate to Europe to begin a new life.

With regard to the award he received, Mail Online said that it took place during a ceremony to honor Serbian Statehood Day in Belgrade on February 15. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic presented him with honors for his "outstanding merits in public and cultural activities, especially in the field of film art and the promotion of the Republic of Serbia in the world."

Upon receiving the award, Johnny Depp thanked the Serbian leader for honor and recognition. He, also, stated that he was "on the verge of a new life" at the time as he moved through challenging times.

The actor, then, shared that he likes a "re-beginning," before asserting he would for it begin "here."

Meanwhile, this is not the first time reports speculated a potential Europe relocation about Johnny Depp. As he was still dealing with his cases opposite Amber Heard in late 2020, several sources alleged that he had decided to leave the United States for Russia or "any other parts of Europe," according to Econo Times.

It noted that the allegations emerged on one of Globe's headlines at the time, with its insiders claiming that Depp was "determined to leave" due to stress and money loss.

But, the publication dismissed the story and called it a "bogus tale." As emphasized, the actor had no plans to leave his home country.
