Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly planning a trip to Australia before Prince William and Kate Middleton head to the country.

In its Feb. 14 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that Prince Harry and Markle know about Cambridge’s plans to visit OZ. However, they do not know the exact details.

Still, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly want to make sure that they will be able to visit the country before Prince William and Middleton arrives. This way, Australians will see them first before the Cambridges.

“Harry and Meghan are unlikely to know the Cambridges’ plans, but this could be a bit of an embarrassing situation for them all. Even though they’re not royals anymore, Harry and Meghan know how popular they are in Australia and New Zealand and are thinking of traveling there at some point in 2022,” the source said.

The insider added that Prince Harry already has a lot of things plans for when he gets to visit Australia again.

“Harry wants to do something involving the Aussie military in some capacity, and he’s also floated the idea of scouting New Zealand as a venue for a future Invictus Games. Of course, this will leave a lot of people at the palace very ticked off – whether it’s innocent or not, it will be seen as the Sussexes again trying to upstage the Cambridges,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

As of late, Prince Harry and Markle have not revealed any plans to visit Australia. And there’s also no reason for them to do this officially because they no longer represent the family.

It’s always possible for Prince Harry and Markle to visit Australia for a vacation together with their children. But it’s unlikely for them to do this to upstage Prince William and Middleton.

Rumors about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex upstaging the other members of the royal family are not unfounded. After all, the timing of some of their announcements appeared questionable.

For instance, Prince Harry and Markle confirmed the latter’s pregnancy during Princess Eugenie’s wedding. They also announced their decision to quit The Firm around the time of Middleton’s birthday.

But even if this is the case, there’s still no proof that Prince Harry and Markle have plans to upstage or overshadow Prince William and Middleton’s trip to Australia.

After all, even the Cambridges have not confirmed their plans to visit the country.
