Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could allegedly be gearing to return to the United Kingdom much earlier than expected.

In his article for Closer UK, royal biographer Duncan Larcombe said that Prince Harry and Markle could set foot in the United Kingdom as early as April. After all, this is when the Invictus Games will take place in The Hague.

“Either way, it seems that this year Harry and Meghan will return to British soil and face the family they have so publicly criticized. It’ll definitely be a tense reunion. Hopefully, though, the trip could ease some tensions. I imagine with all that’s going on for the royal family, more stress with Harry and Meghan would be the last thing they want,” Larcombe said.

The royal biographer added that he thinks Prince Harry and Markle’s return to the United Kingdom will be a tense one especially after everything that’s happened. And the news of Prince Harry’s memoir has not reportedly helped.

“The news of Harry’s memoir caused a lot of upset and anger with him visiting only months before its intended release. I imagine it’ll be a bit of an elephant in the room. That book has the potential to do damage. I think it’ll be particularly tough for Harry. I imagine he’ll feel very torn,” the source said.

As of late, Prince Harry and Markle have not revealed any plans to return to the United Kingdom. So, it’s possible for the couple to go there for the queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June or not.

There’s also a possibility for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to return home for the Invictus Games. But for now, any plans to travel overseas don’t seem likely due to some security concerns.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry issued a legal complaint against the Home Office for refusing to give him security while he’s in the United Kingdom. Prince Harry’s legal team said that the former senior working royal even offered to pay for his own security team, but the Home Office refused his request.

Prince Harry is worried about his safety while he’s in the United Kingdom. And he can’t reportedly bring his entire family with him when he visits because he’s also worried about their lives and safety.

The Duke of Sussex is especially protective of his family because of what happened to his late mother, Princess Diana.
