Jennifer Garner is still not over what Ben Affleck said about her during one of his latest interviews.
In its Jan. 10 issue, Life & Style claimed that Garner is so offended by what her ex-husband said about her being the cause of his drinking problems. So, Garner allegedly rushed to her friends for support and comfort.
During Garner’s conversation with her friends, she allegedly told them what it was really like dealing with Affleck’s drinking problems.
“She’s disgusted with him and says it will be hard to trust Ben again. Mind you, she hasn’t believed a word that’s come out of his mouth for years,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Affleck was the one to blame for the fall out of his marriage to Garner and it wasn’t the other way around.
In fact, it didn’t take long before The Tender Bar showed his true colors that ultimately led to their divorce.
“Their relationship started off great, but it slowly began to crumble when Ben started to show his true colors. Little by little, their marriage became a nightmare, thanks to the lies, his selfishness, and addiction issues, and a lack of trust. Jen is telling friends he was the husband from hell,” the source said.
Toward the end of their relationship, the source claimed that Garner felt more like a mother to Affleck than a wife. And the fact that the Batman v Superman actor kept a lot of secrets from Garner did not help their marriage.
Following their divorce, there were claims that Affleck cheated on Garner with their children’s nanny. The Alias star defended her ex-husband by saying that she was unaware of such an affair and it’s not what caused their divorce.
Garner has always been protective of Affleck. So, she was surprised when the actor said that he felt trapped in their marriage. He also said that he resorted to drinking because he couldn’t get out of the union because of their children.
However, Affleck also admitted during his previous interviews that he’s had problems with drinking ever since he was a teenager. So, he can’t put the blame solely on Garner.
In fact, the 13 Going on 30 actress also helped Affleck with sobriety. And even after their divorce, Garner drove Affleck to a rehab facility after he relapsed.
